After going through the abysmal 13th Door I wandered next door to Slaughterhouse Gulch and set my expectations to low (see my review of the 13th Door), they were exceed but only to the point of mediocre. This was the better of the two haunts. The sets were well designed and looked good, there were some stretches of black hallways, and there was too much junk hanging in the rooms like sheets, burlap, plastic, etc., I know that is there to disorient you but after a while it is just annoying.
The actors, what can I say....most of them were screamers or grunters, the Scream room guy was a grunter until someone asked if this was the Poltergeist room he whispers back "No this is the Scream room..." The Freddie Krueger was good and Michael Meyers was the best actor in the place and he had no lines, he just knew his part. The Ring girl just kinda pointed to the next room. There something wrong when walking into the Texas Chainsaw room and there are rubber chickens hanging from the door way.
Overall impression is one of frustration, this too could have been a good haunt if they had more enthusiastic actors less and dead space. I just had an unsatisfying feeling leaving this haunt.
