View Full Version : Disappointing!

I read through the readers reviews and I can't help but agree with 99% of them. I had some pretty high expectations going into it only to feel that i was bent over and ass reamed of cash after experiencing both haunted houses. The first house we went through was the one without the train (Not sure of the name) The girl who took our tickets was smoking a cigarette and she was the most scary thing in there considering a fire hazard and she mumbled so I didn't understand a damn word she told us. (Sense the sarcasm). There were almost no actors that came out, 2 guys couldn't get their chainsaws started, it seemed like every other actor was a chainsaw guy, we walked past 3 of the "actors" that were just standing there talking to one another as we walked past them, I expected something to happen when we walked across the bridge but it was just another dead spot, places where there should of been someone or something there was nothing, I didn't know where the hell to go when I got to the House of Wax because I didn't see the passage on the right side so instead I stepped over the board across what I thought was the entry (I figured someone would try to startle you as you were stepping over) only to walk into it and find out that it wasn't an entry. I know someone said that an actor directed him but we didn't experience anyone around there. You could see the actors up ahead so when they came out it was no surprise. I think it took us maybe 8 minutes maximum to walk through this one. The one thing I did like and thought was original was the guy who jumps over you on the trampoline (But then he just stands there afterwards).

After walking out of this one I thought to myself "Oh please God let the second one be better...PLEASE". Nope the second one was just as bad. First off you can't even understand a word that the chick in the movie theatre says. The train guy took off before I was even in the cart so I had to jump in and nearly break my neck and there is no room to sit. You have 2 guys running along you the entire train ride (All 2 minutes). And then came the maze part......First off you could see where all of the actors were once again so when they jumped out you just stare at them and want to laugh. A majority of the actors just painted their faces, some guy walked by us with a chainsaw and then when he got to the end of the group he started it up and tried to chase you, some girl sat in an outhouse saying "Hey give a girl some privacy and laughed while saying it", there's nothing more scary than a mad scientist (I think that is what he was suppossed to be) wearing a Boston Red Sox hat, it seemed like the same 5 people just followed you throughout and tried to scare you through the whole thing, and then at the end you just pop out and you're done without a final character trying to get a scare.

Another thing that confused me was when I looked on the website it said 1 haunt for $15 or both for $25. So when I handed them my coupon for $5 off both houses (Expecting it to be $20 per person) they said that the $25 price was the price with the coupon. I figured they would be giving deals if you bought both but I guess I was wrong. So whoever is running the website needs to make that correction and say that it is $25 for both haunts WITH a coupon.

After reading other reviews why would people who allready felt they were ripped off want to come back and pay more money to go through it again???? Explain to me if that makes any sense because it doesn't to me. If I go to a movie and think to myself "This is the worst film I have ever seen" do you think I would pay another admission price to watch it again?? HELL NO. I advise anyone who wants to spend money to deter from going to Scream Park where it seems like they threw together a couple of haunted houses in about a weeks time and are just out for the all mighty dollar.

amen.
i wrote a review, but yours really says it all.

also i guess the "movie theater" was supposed to be a funeral home, the girl in there was yelling at us to stop and that its rude to interupt a funeral or some crap like that..but we didnt know she ACTUALLY wanted us to stop so we ended up waiting for the train for about 5 minutes while she made lame jokes and a man (who i presume was the haunt owner) came over and told us they were having difficulties..and from there is just got worse.

bleh..i wish i could have my 25 bucks back so i could go to two worthwhile haunts...not to mention the 1/4 tank of gas it took to get me there.

Also I wrote my oppinion, but yours was a very good summary of the experience. Except I think you made out. I don't rememebr any theater/funeral home person yelling, or the mad scientist. They must have been on break when we went thru. So many opportunities that you thopught something was going to happen but never did. Going thru the herse was another perfect opportunity. I agree, if the there were problems cause the FD closed certain attractions for violations, then put off opening the haunt and fix them. But obviousely the money was more important.
