Question: I want to take my child who is (8, 9, 10, etc.) years old to a haunted house but want to start with a tamer haunt. Which do you recommend?
Answer: Essentially, as far as we're concerned, whether or not you should be taking your child to ANY haunt boils down to whether your child can separate reality from fantasy. Haunted houses are SUPPOSED to be scary. If you think they would be traumatized by a PG-13 scary movie, then they'll probably be equally traumatized by a haunted house, regardless of which one you visit.
That said, you technically could always try to read our reviews in reverse -- that is, look for the haunts with a lower score in scare factor -- but we don't make age recommendations for haunts.
