Hello fellow spooks.
I'm here to actually write a review of a haunt that I enjoyed.
We went up to the haunt-plex after visiting 13th door and Slaughter house gulch. I'm glad that we did these next.
Out of the 3 at this complex, this one was my favorite. I suppose that it had a lot to do with the theme was more up my alley than the other two. I've always thought that big old enclosed houses can be a creepier than wider more out doorsie places.
The plexi-hallway was pretty cool as were a lot of the animatronics. The actors were decent and actually spoke English to get the patrons more in the mood.
Sorry to the actor that was confused as to why I was more or less ignoring him when I was in his room looking at the lenticular pictures on the wall. I had just bought one at a Halloween store around town because I've discovered that I'm very fascinated by them. If you are in the market, I found this cool site: http://www.hauntedmemories.com.
My biggest problem was that 13th Street Manor seemed fairly short. Even with the multiple haunt discount for $12+ for >20 minutes seems like a lot to spend. On the other hand if they try to make things too long with what they have, it can start to feel too spread thin. Also, my friends said that it did not change very much from last year so it was not very new to them (this is the first time that I've been to Denver haunts for a few years, the Crackers that I have been hanging out with suck and arn't into them). Haunts staying too stagnant is a bad thing also. After a couple of years of a haunt not changing at all, people will start to get bored of the attraction and stop wanting to go.
I had a lot of other things to say about this one, but I guess that I should have written it sooner than one week after visiting. Damn work for getting in the way of my time to post.
Over all, I liked all three of these haunts. Other people may have different preferences, but if I could not afford the $35 for all three of these haunts, I would personally recommend going to this over the other two.
