So this is my second haunt of the year, This year the line was long but it moved fast i think i waited about 25 min for this one. as usual i loved the hay ride leading to the haunt i totaly sets the mood, however they did change some things that i believe were well intentioned but didnt work so well. they used to have actors running from the corn and onto the trailer or a headless horseman running aroud but this year they decided to change it up, although i liked the scenes they didnt really follow the theme of the haunt and as i expected they purchased some animatronics. now this can be a great prop and make for a very scary haunt but it needs to be used right, you cant just pull it out of the box and turn it on it needs to fit into a scene and make sense with what is going on i felt as though they just kinda turned them on which tottaly turned me off. also they had some prettty young actors this year, and while i understand that it is hard to get people over 18 that want to work a haunted house till 11 at night i thought the majority of actors wer not well rehearsed, this was just the beginning of the season and i felt as though i was going on the last hour of the last night. i also thought that several of the scenes just didnt make sense they were just kinda thrown in there. This haunt also could have been better if the actors were in full costume, their were several in just jeans and a tee shirt or coat and mask, and i saw a few actors taking a break and eating behind some of the scene walls which totaly took me out of the experience. regardless i will always come back to this haunt it was my first ever and will always have a special spot in halloween for me. another thing i would change is the ticket prices it used to be that you could just by the terror in the corn ticket for 10 bucks but now its 20 for both thehaunt and the maze as their is no way of telling if people who just paid for the haunt are entering the maze as well.
