On one last road trip before they're sent to serve in Vietnam, two friends and their girlfriends get into an accident that calls their local sheriff to the scene. Thus begins a terrifying experience where the teens are taken to a secluded house of horrors, where a young, would-be killer is being nurtured.[/b]

Chainsaws, shmainsaws. I think the original Tobe Hooper film is amazing-and still very powerful. It has such a raw intensity that punches you in the gut. One can practically smell the inside of that house...ugh!
Since nobody in the film industry seems to have any new ideas, why don't they remake "Nightbreed" (the Clive Barker film) with the budget that it deserves? I have to admit, though, that David Cronenberg as "Button-Face" still gives me the heebie-jeebies.
On second thought, even with the budgetary limitations, I think that I like "Nightbreed" just the way it is. However, a prequel or a follow-up story could be fantastic.

The new one actually looks rather promising. They fished through a bunch of state records to get some pretty accurate information, and the director should be able to make this into one hell of a ride.

As for the old school one, refer to my Slither picture...dogshit. Thats just my opinion, but i think it was just idiotic. Im all for shock value, but not without any REAL value or reward, then its just mindless crap.

But hey, it WASNT worse than the wayans brothers movie, so thats STILL a step in the right direction.

We'll see. It COULD be a piece of crap, i just hope Andrew Bynarski rips Leatherface a new one in this film like he did with last.

Lay this to rest
