This is possibly my most favorite thing about the Hallowe'en season: being able to let my REAL self outta the bag. I've already started sketching ideas for this year's incarnation of ROBOCAT. I do my own sewing and prop-building, after years of experience making and performing puppets.
Who or What are YOU going to be this time around?

I would tell you but as this is a highly guarded secret I would most unfortunately have to kill you.

Hey speaking of costumes, I have a pirate party coming up on Saturday and I need to find a great rentable costume. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would prefer a store up north somewhere.

Thanks

There's a place called Marcia's Costumes on Sheridan, just south of I-76 (I guess that's roughly 55th or so) that seems like they have a good selection of rental costumes. I've bought stage makeup there a few times, and it always looked like they had tons of costumes in there. If you do check them out, tell them Haunted Denver sent you. And if it ends up being a crappy referral, tell me so I never recommend them again. http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Hey Rob,

I found a great costume for a great price at Marcia's Costumes. Marcia was really nice as well as her daughter. They worked together to create a great couples costume for the party.

Thanks for the recommendation and I will make sure to recommend/use them in the future!

That's awesome! I'm glad it worked out. Thanks for letting me know. Now I feel good about recommending their shop.

My mom (who's a director/producer/actor) has known Marcia for years and highly recommends her. I don't know how I missed this post, but I would have made the same suggestion and added this little rental place at 80th and Federal...I think it's called Area Rentals, but there's a costume shop next door...they have a great selection.

This is last year's costume...sort of a vampyre/gargoyle come to life thang. No...those are NOT my own six-pack abs http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

I have several ideas this year...a couple of fun ones and a couple of gory ones. This last year's was a pain when we went to our friends' party...they had a ton of candles going and those wings almost took out a few. So, maybe a favorite t.v. character which would be easy to attend a party in...then something more sinister for H'ween night...

Is it bad that my mind isn't focusing on gore? I seriously want to wear old school style rollerskates, none of this inline bullcrap. Thats pretty much where I'm at.... then again no plans at this point on the Halloween party front... so I might just get some rollerskates and try to bring back roller disco the rest of the year.

You could go off on a freaky tangent and be a disco-rollerskating ZOMBIE ...*shudder!*
