FloydFan and I saw a commercial for these guys a few nights ago and made the trip last night. It's just off Highway 85 just South of LaSalle. They've got several different attractions including the inflatable Giant, Pitch Black (formerly of Brutal Planet), and Scream Acres.
You can buy a combo ticket for $16 which will get you trips through the Giant, Pitch Black, Scream Acres (and the corn maze with it), their 'unhaunted' maze, and a few courtyard activities (go-karts, corn cannon, etc..). While the Giant and Pitch Black (sadly only a shadow of its former self) are probably good for kids, the real attraction for those of us who love haunts is Scream Acres.
You can get a ticket for this haunt for $13. You enter through the Haunted Maze "Phase 2" entrance. Unlike other haunted corn mazes, this is not an easy walk through the corn. This is an all-out, turn you around MAZE. I don't know if FloydFan and I are just particularly unlucky, but we spent 45 minutes lost in that thing! My feet were frozen and we ran into several other groups of kids who were just as (if not more) lost than we were. Just as we got on the right track, we ran into an employee, a "Corn Cop", who assisted us and several others to the entrance of Scream Acres.
I won't ruin anything for you guys, but there are things in this haunt you will not see anywhere else. The kids will have a good time too, but I advise you to take a minute between screams to appreciate the effects in use.
