Was anyone else lucky enough to catch this movie for the brief time it was playing the big screens? What a blast! Delightfully creepy and very funny, with top-notch effects. It was like a love letter to all of those eco-horror flicks of the '70's and '80's (like "Frogs" and "Squirm" and so on). In a twisted sorta way, it's also a love story...well, maybe a lust story, but hey. If you get a chance, check it out on cable or DVD.
It's one of my favorite movies of this year, right alongside "V for Vendetta", but for different reasons obviously.

Didn't get a chance to see it but have it coming on netflix when it's available. Didn't see V for Vendetta either but I want to... also for different yet obvious reasons, well 2 of them maybe http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Yeah, I heard the movie has the hot guy from fire-fly in it. I totally want to see that movie, but I have to wait for a DVD rental. So it is worth it right?

I plan to BUY this one. It's scary, zany and just plain ol' FUN.
There is a "hot guy" in it, but I'm not familiar with the "Firefly" cast.

The name is Nathan Fillion. I hope thats who you mean, cause he is the only lead character from Serenity/Firefly that made it into slither. No one else had a part in it....maybe an extra...but who cares there
And as for slither, i have ANOTHER picture....

That shit looks very convincing. It's a shame that you can't express yourself a bit more clearly. It's pretty easy to just shrug off an "it sucked". It's probably not worth pursuing, but I'd actually love to hear you elaborate as to why you felt this way about what I thought was a very entertaining flick. It certainly exceeded any expectations that I had going in. I like being surprised-and this movie was fun and refreshing.
Maybe you think that a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this case, I wholeheartedly disagree.

hah, no, that picture is worth 3 words.
Fake dog shit.
But...i dunno...i think its the same reason i hated Hostel or why i dont watch the Later Nightmare on Elm Street films. It just...i went in hoping it might actually give me the creeps or make my skin crawl, but...i dunno. To ME, it just didnt deliver. It had too much of a lighter side to it, it was too corny, and i think the effects, while good makeup jobs, were rather weak in actual thrill factor.
Maybe i just didnt GET this movie. Maybe its like snakes and you cant walk in with a straight face and expect to like the film.
To me, it was just your average crappy attempt at a thriller, and it didnt do too well.
But hey, my opinion. I lived Freddy VS Jason (mostly cause jason just owned everyone in that movie), but again, that could easily make my opinion of slither Null and Void.

I OBJECT, wholeheartedly...and yeah, loving Freddy vs. Jason pretty much nullifies any iota of taste you may have once possessed. *robotic kittyhug * Slither is the awesomeness.

Hostel had one special moment that gave me that skincrawling sensation that I crave. It reminded me of a similar event in Pet Sematary, but took it to a whole new level. You probably know what scene I'm referring to. As far as recent horror films (watching people suffer horribly is the trend, thanks again, Saw) go, I think that it's better than average.
