Me and a few friends (five total) went last night. This is the first haunted house I've been to since I was a kid. It would have been great except for one BIG thing: the so-called "tour guide" rushed us through and wouldn't stop prompting us to go faster. We waited in line for an hour, paid $14 each, and I didn't appreciate being cattle-prodded by our handler.

Every 15 to 30 seconds he would say things like, "hurry up people," "step up the pace guys," "come on people, lets go faster," "stay together," "keep walking," "you in the back, keep up." His continuous chatter ruined the mood for me. And it's not like we kept stopping to take in the sights, even though I wanted to. There were lots of cool scenes to look at, but I barely remember them as we forced to walk past everything at such a brisk pace.

The ticket-taker guy said it would take about 20-25 minutes to go through. We made it in 15. I didn't know it was a race. Everyone in our group and the group ahead of us agreed. Big disappointment. I felt it was all about getting as many $14 bodies through as fast as possible.

I'm not saying don't go because overall, it was actually quite good. Great actors and very detailed and well done scenes. I jumped out of my skin a couple of times, I laughed and I smiled. Heck, I'd even go again if I knew it would be at a more leisurely pace this time.

Maybe go during a week day when there will be less pressure to herd large crowds through. Or, if you notice your guide is shifting into turbo mode, perhaps a small "tip" may persuade him to cool his jets (though that shouldn't be necessary).

I took some friends last night, and although I am not a fan of guides, the one we had last night was awesome! He did tell the slow pokes in the group to stay together, but it worked well as they did not miss any scares because they were too far behind. We didn't fell rushed at all, and it took us nearly 25 minutes to get through.
This haunt is well done, the actors, props, costumes, smells are all very authentic. The attention to detail makes this worth seeing.
I know some people do not like the long lines that happen on the weekends, I am one of them. I have to decide what is more important to me... time or money? For me it is time, so I paid for the VIP pass and waited less than 10 minutes. Completely worth the extra cost.

I went on opening night to FOC and it was awesome. It was scary, the actors were good, and everything was just as it should have been.

I liked it so much that my friend and I went back on friday night. It was just us two. The ticket taker brought up another group of two people to make the groups together so the line would move faster. I didn't really mind, but then the two kids told us that they worked at foc. So while we were walking through it they knew every actor's name and every actor knew them. All the actors were breaking character and talking with them, or hugging them, or jumping on their back. I remember the first time walking through a scene and people were getting right in my face and screaming. But this time they were just laughing and making jokes about the two people that worked there. Even our guide knew them so she would start talking with them. It was really disapointing. I'm not saying don't go to foc or anything, cause most likely you wouldn't get pared with people that worked there. But it just took all the fun out of the haunt that time.

hey i agree with you there i mean i have and still am working there and i dont see the point of going to it if you worked there it just is surprising or shocking i mean they where like oh i saw that comeing or yeah i know where you came out of or shit like that wich really makes me mad because it wrecks the whole attmaspher of the place i mean you cant fool with them or joke with themand i agree it wrecks it for the rest of the group i mean they could tell you not to give out name s but that wrecks the whole surprise.this haunt is great so every one should go to it. ok so for the rest of you that say oh the guid is to much or the guid rushed us well ok it more help ful to the other actors so they can get back into charicter or not just sit there hour on end waiting for the goup i mean there are trick doors that help move actors from point a to point b and the group might go though those doors so the guid has to be there to make sure that doesnt happen also they need to hurry the group up some time cause on bissy nights we have to keep people moveing especally if its raining or snowing also the guid is to make it intresting for the group now i agree that a guid shouldnt talk all the time but like at dull points they should but at any other time it should be minamul also the actors tell the guids to hurry up or slowdown so dont blame it on the guids it just add another element in the house and makes this haunt specail.

You know we are allowed our own opinions and are free to express them.

I have not returned to Field of Corpses this year simply because I dislike guided haunts. Hell, I get irritated when places force two or more groups to combine. I understand time constraints and line spacing, but I just have a hard time enjoying my surroundings when I'm with strangers who talk or push or run or joke around through the whole thing. The year I went to FoC, it was pretty neat. Sets were good and the actors were definately a high point. My big problem? The guide. If I whispered something to Floydfan during our tour, she stopped and went "What?!" like she heard something offended. One such time occured on a small flight of stairs which I nearly fell back down trying not to crash into her.

Yea, so I may be missing a great haunt because I'm an antisocial person... but if you're gona guide me by stopping suddenly or by rushing me, I don't want you to be my guide.
