Ranks and Titles

These new boards have a functionality built in that allows your title to change after you've written a certain number of posts. I don't like the current defaults, which are something like "Newbie, Junior Member, Regular Member, Advanced Member," etc.

What are some better "levels" for ranks and titles that would have to do with our subject matter? How many posts should you have to have to achieve each rank?

Or should everybody have the same thing regardless?

Is there a way for you to create a list of titles that the user could choose from when making a profile? Not so much a ranking, as a self-described title? Like Haunt Freak, Horror Film Fanatic, Goth Queen, whatever. Just because I post 30 crap posts a day saying why HD sucks or whatever, why should I get the title ÜberPoster? I think choosing a title would be cool...if it's possible!

Here's few. I don't know how many levels you can have but here are 4.
Zombie -- for the occasional poster
Heretic -- for the Average Poster
Haunt Freak -- for above average poster
Raving Lunatic -- For posters like Perm

Despite the pot shot I'm on board with what Mord has to say. I think that maybe another 2 or 3 titles would work it's way in as the season progresses seeing as we have severl 15 and 20+ posters midway through August.

My suggestion (although no rankings) would be as follows:

1-10: Level 1 - rare

11-30: Level 2 - infrequent

31-80: Level 3 - average

81-150: Level 4 - above average

151-225: Level 5 - freak

226-350: Level 6 - HD Gustapo

350+: Well, unattainable, not even a raving lunatic like me can really pull this one off, even with starting this early. So something ridiculous for a name would work quite nicely. - Chemical imbalance

I agree, that would be cool. I don&#39;t see that functionality in the boards as they currently exist, but I&#39;ll look into it.

101-200 minion
201-300 zombie
301+ master of evil

I just want it to say....HD Main Witch Supreme or something like that. Its nice to seperate the serious from the non. But to have me at the top of the ladder of importance is good. I think there should be a rating some how that shows differance of level of input.I also agree with Scarcia, that it could be abused but between Perms mouth and my spells we always keep their chats to a low level. I just want to be loved and needed. My powers are stronger with the more I am needed. Maybe assign titles to those that are more active.
