Coffin Races!
"The 12th Annual Emma Crawford Coffin Race and Festival will be held Saturday, October 28, 2006. Beginning on Manitou Avenue in the town's National Historic District, Emma judging will begin at 12 o'clock, noon, followed by the Parade of Hearses and Coffins and then Coffin Races up the town's main street in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Emma's Favorite Haunts will return this year with lantern lit walking tours through downtown Manitou Springs to meet some of the ghosts from Manitou's past with their entertaining tall tales and loveable legends."

I went to this last year it was pretty neat.
