Needless to say, this is gonna be one of the best Hallowe'ens ever!
Any other fans of Clive Barker here, especially regarding "Books of Blood" and "Abarat"? I'd love to discuss all things Barker. He's a true Renaissance man.

That looks like it will be an excellent book. I'm going to have to pick that up when it comes out.

Being a Clive Barker fan, Robo, what would you recommend to someone who has not read any of his works?

I was not a big fan of Hellraiser, but I saw he was involved with Gods and Monsters, which I think is a spectacular film.

I'd like to get more exposure to his works.

Hiya, skelter! I am really excited about "Mr. B. Gone" as it a return to no-holds-barred horror fiction for Mr. Barker. As much as I've enjoyed the "Abarat" fantasy series so far, I'm glad to see that he still has some horror up his sleeves.
I'd recommend beginning with the "Books of Blood", the short story collection that first put C.B. on the map. That was my first introduction to his work and it was the beginning of many years of reading pleasure.
Another reason that I admire Clive so much is that he's an utterly fantastic illustrator and painter as well.
