How come on the website for Hauntplex says owners recommend you to keep your windows rolled up until you reach the haunt? Is there a real danger or are they just trying to pysch people out even before they reach the haunt?

I think its actually because of the smell from the refineries up there. http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Never did know what that was about....I figured it was to psych people out before they got there. Worked on a few of my friends. hahahaha

It could be promotional, or it could be that commerce city has problems with gangs.

I think its because commerce city is a pretty bad neighborhood.

Actually, that neighborhood is pretty tame...there are FAR worse neighborhoods than those in Commerce City. Commerce City has always gotten a bad rap, and usually from people who have never lived or worked there. I would gladly walk around there at night alone long before I would walk around some other neighborhoods we have here in the Denver area.

That's because Kris is super tough! http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif I actually don't know that neighborhod well, but it didn't strike me as unsafe. I live in Five Points which everyone insists is the worst hood around. Maybe I should open a haunted house! I guess my point is, it depends on your perspective! If you're coming from Boulder you'll probably call is sketchy http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

Ever been to Commerce City? Tye is right, it smells pretty close to what I would imagine satan's itchy anus would smell like. Between the Platte and the refineries the smell can get pretty bad. Take nothing away from Hauntplex, they can't help that (and they seem to be in some weird paradoxical valley where the smell doesn't seem to be able to reach, I'm not sure if it has to do with the space-time continuum or what).
