Hey Everyone its Redskittle,
Alright so I went to a couple of houses last night and I think that this year is going to be a great one! I dont really have a "scoreboard" or whatever its called like the real critics but I will tell you what I liked and didnt like about this haunt...and of course, if you should go or not.
The things that usually stick out to me are 1) Actors (how believable, staying in character, makeup, scare factor) 2) Props (is it real looking, was there much time and effort into it, does it fit the theme, gory? or just stupid) 3) Storyline (Does it even have a story line? Does it fizzle towards the end? Is it even a good story line? Does it scare you?) 4)All in All Experience (including wait time, money, should you go?)

Haunted Field Of Screams (August 28th, 2007)
First off let me say this was the first time I have ever been to this haunt, let alone a corn maze haunt. So bare with me!
Actors - The actors did a good job with what they had to work with. Being in the corn, you can hear everything around you and there arnt much places to hide. Especially with the almost full moon out, its really light. They did a couple good scares, especially in the beginning of the haunt. I think that they aren't that experienced of actors because I had a couple of them try to scare us and they started laughing. The guy in the parking lot also was on his phone and kind of killed the mood. Another thing was that they needed more actors! There were spots where we were just walking through the corn...with no action...boring.
Props - Not many props in this one, except for the obvious, but when they did have props they pulled it off really well. The begining prop was really good and scared me a lot! Now that I think of it, they did a pretty good job on all their props. And they put them in all the right spots.
Storyline - No storyline really. Just things to scare you. I really dont like haunts with no story lines, or something to keep me in suspense. It was just people trying to scare you! Like a haunted house is supposed to be! Haha
All in All - This haunt I would probably give a 6 or 7 just because of the lack of actors and how there wasnt that much creativity in it. The money was a little much, but there wasn't a line but its probably cuz it was opening night. Oh and its really hard to find the entrance, you have to go right on Riverdale and its like 1/4th of a mile down...weird I know...lol. This would probably be a good haunt if you are a newbie or scare easily.
