No, there is not haunted house that gives you your money back if you make it through. A haunted house like that would go bankrupt before the end of the year. 13th Door is just a play off of that name.

There is the 13th Door and 13th Street Manor. Both real haunts.

13th Floor is the fake haunt that supposedly gives you money back for every floor you make it through. It is the one referred to in the FAQ section and yes, it is only urban legend. Doesn't exist, never did.

Exactly, I was thinking the same thing when I saw sections for both 13th Door and Thirteenth Floor. I was curious if someone actually made one named 13th Floor to try to draw the crowd that had heard the Urban Myth.

It&#39;s funny that every year people way in pretty heavily on this... we all know it&#39;s fake but people still ask about it.

Funnier still is the people that I talk to that have been there! And it is true that the reason nobody gets there money back is because after the 5th floor if you scream you don&#39;t get your money back... no, no, it&#39;s true! My cousin&#39;s best friend went there and he almost made it through. He got to the 9th floor, but you have to close your eyes and if you open them they push you out a window.

no, it doesn&#39;t, and neither does the urban legend..no matter how many times people get told that it doesn&#39;t exist, someone is always sure they have heard about on the radio or something. Looking at Snopes.com it seems that the legend is alive from coast to coast, and is one big hoax.

It&#39;s amazing what people believe. Every year if I tell people that I go haunted housing, I get at least one "Have you been to that one...?" and then they relay a story of how they know someone who went through and then look frustrated when you continue to tell them that it is not true and if their friend truly told them they went through, that it was a blatant lie.

oh and lets not forget that when you ask them where the 13 floor haunted house is, they always seem to draw a blank, or my favorite reply, "it&#39;s in some abbonded house in the middle of nowhere" and then I go on to ask, you should take me there some day, but somehow they don&#39;t remember how they got there. This is a good way to tell they are lying!!!

I have some friends who actually drove all the way to Grand Junction from Arvada one night because they were so sure this place existed, even despite the fact that I told them several times a house like this couldn&#39;t exist because they wouldn&#39;t make any money. The stupidity of people makes me laugh sometimes.

As long as it&#39;s posted clearly that there is no refund for every room/scene that you make it through there is no argument. And really, who in their right mind REALLY believes that is possible? In order for a haunt to be SO scary that people regularly cannot make it through, they&#39;d have to commit real acts of horror with real victims...

I agree, but we both have seen here the myth lives. The house should do great with that myth and make good money off those that don&#39;t know. Posting the no refund policy is great, just need to put someone with thick skin to handle those that question it after the fact. Sounds like a blast, I will go see it for sure.

The myth is alive and well....you&#39;re right, it will take a thick skinned soul to deal with the masses that think they deserve their money back for making it through. Even if it is explained in the que line to them, there will still be those who want something for nothing and ask for their money back.
