This is the film that I am looking forward to seeing the most this year: Pan's Labyrinth, from the director of Mimic, Hellboy, Blade 2 and one of my all-time favorite horror (it's a ghost story) films, The Devil's Backbone. Guillermo del Toro is a director with such passionate and fantastic vision-and this one, judging from the trailer alone, looks like it could be his greatest creation so far. Not a fright flick, strictly speaking, but a fantasy adventure with some elements of horror.
The release date for the U.S. is slated for December 29th, 2006.
Any other Guillermo del Toro fans here?

Should I take that as a resounding "Nope"?
For shame!

Hellboy 2 is in pre-production, so never fear, pal. I just saw Cronos (1993) and loved it. It's a nice twist on the vampire theme-and a sweet love story, with lots of gore to take the sugary taste away. Ron (Hellboy himself!) is in it, too.

I am definately looking forward to Pan's Labrynth. Blade 2 is good, but in my opnion not great. I read about The Devil's Backbone in a copy of Rue Morgue and got anxious to see it, however I was very disappointed. I am not quite sure why and would try to watch it again but overall I was not impressed that first time around. Cronos is in my Netflix queue and I look forward to watching it
You definately know your horror movies. I am really looking forward to Imprint, like your logo
