I thought I would give it another try to see if it was scary. TERRIBLE IDEA

scare Factor-3
set-3
length-9
Actors-5
Overall-4

Not good at all. The actors Kept saying the same lines. Seriously, this was the only haunt ive never screamed in. I actually made the people in my group laugh by making fun of it. Neon paint is not scary people. Its just stupid. Everything was off. i mean a sylvester the cat doll????? Seriously????? I hated it and would not reccomend it to anyone but kids who want to laugh.

Obviously people's opinions can be very different. I went last night and it was probably my favorite one so far this year.

Really? Just out of curiousity, what was your favorite part?

well i liked the really dark areas where you had to feel around to get out, like the body bag room. And i liked the part where the light comes on in the cage and the little monster starts banging the bars really loud right next to you. And the overall setup was pretty cool i thought. The only thing that i wish was better was i wish there was more actors. It just seemed like they coulda had more people hiding in some places. But it was still cool

Well i respect your opionion but personally i thought it was really boring. I did this haunt on my way home from hauntplex so maybe that had an effect i don now. Personnally i just thought it was really boring and would never go back.

Hmm..Everyone can have their opinions but most people that come through seem to enjoy it and have a good time. & having fun is a good factor of even going through haunt. Tell me what you thought was wrong with it, less vaugly, so we could possibly make changes.

Okay, lets start with the actors: THEY ALL DID THE SAME THING!!!!! They all just screamed Get out and it was really annoying. And when a stupid guy in a dog mask pops out around every turn of a corner, itn really pisses me off. It was stupid. I also noticed how everyone was wearing the same costume. Everyroom we went in everyone was wearing the same thing. Oh, and the chainsaw guy sucked. All he did was stand there with the thing and looked at us. He didnt even chase us. Now for set design, NEON PAINT SUCKS. get that through your heads. I hate walking through 6 different rooms of neon paint. Especially when they just have stupid orange heads sticking out of the wall with no actors. The begging was one of the stupidest parts. A bunch of fake trees that just get in your way and take away from the fun. Especially when there are no actors in ther either. The clown room was also stupid. Why is there a sylvestor doll in there? Who goes through there and goe, " Oh my god im so scared, I tawt i saw a puddy cat!" The clown guy barked at me as well. And the asylum part was stupid. Six guys just screaming get me out. Oh and make the bars real and not stupid white plastic. And a bunch of fake spider webs is also annoying. i will give you credit for length. It ended just as soon as I about to just burst out of there. If you want any more details just ask.

Well thanks for atleast elaborating, I agree its not the best, but it has some potential. Perhaps you went on a lousy night. And as far as people screaming get out, that is true, its stupid and annoying, when I make a scare, it seems to be somewhat sucesfull there and I say usually something different each time. And hmm, the room with heads sticking out that turns into the clown room there is usually or atleast supposed to always be someone in there. The clown guy just seems like he wasnt trying. And in the first scare room with the trees, there is someone in there, and I know that because I had to do that part once. Sorry you didnt have a good time man, hopefully they will improve for your tastes next year. And check out field of corpses, you might like that one and I volunteer there as well.

Props for at least being able to articulate the reasons you didn't like it. That should be really useful information for the haunt designers, if they'll take the time to read it and act on it for next year.

I'm sorry you had a bad time hellraiser15. I went last thursday and i loved it! But i wasn't looking at everything as closely as you were. I scare really easily too which could also be a big factor in it for my good experience vs. your bad one. Hopefully they will improve it to the point that everyone has a great time, not just a few people here and there.

I would absolutley love to see them improve that place. It is the closest one to where i live and i wish it coul be better. Thanks for the feedback though. And i am glad at least someone had a good time.

I've heard this haunt is awesome and better then Field of Corpses

I've also heard this haunt sucked so I'm guessing it depends on which night you go and how easily your scared and what scary is to you, such as wichwitch, who said she loved it and hellraiser who said it absolutly sucked

I really can't give you an opinion on this one because I've never been to Spider Mansion. What I can tell you about it is that a good portion of haunt owners really like Spider Mansion so from a technical point of view it is probably pretty good. It is on my list to make it to this year.

With FoC, I have huge issue with how it is run and it was pretty similar to Frightmare but the actors were top notch and the length was very good. I don't think that anything is worth waiting over an hour and a half so go here early if you want to.

What area do you work in, there were a couple of standout points but really as far as acting goes I don't think it gets much better than the guide that we had (a shorter guy with long dark hair and I remember him saying "no, no, no" and he called me a "scared little rabbit" although I had to correct him, I'm a "scared little girl.") Pass it on to him, he f'ing rocked.
