As I stood out in front of The Asylum last night, I notice a group in line sporting their Field of Corpses gear.
Now, occasionally visits from other haunted house actors in town don't go all that well. Which I somewhat understand, as I'm happy to see people take pride in their haunt. However, some of these visits, as with one specific one we had earlier this season, end with the actors from the other haunt coming out the end yelling things like "if you want to go to a real haunted house go to (insert haunt name here)" I don't know about other owners in town, but all of our actors are instructed at the beginning of the season to conduct themselves professionally when visiting other attractions, have pride, but be respectful.
Last nights experience was quite the opposite, this group handled themselves well prior to entering. No issues were reported form inside the house, and when they left, after seeming to have a good time, there were none of the last minute "digs" that have become all to common. Just thought I'd take the time to point this out, wish more of the actors out there handled themselves this way.
On a side note, I did get a chance to visit Field of Corpses earlier this season, as for the first time we were closed on a Sunday night. I really enjoyed it, had a great time (excluding one smelly incident). One of their actors that came through last night I recognized as our tour guide from our visit, who did a great job when we visited. I should also point out that we had groups from two other local haunts last night who also seemed very respectful, but for some reason the Field of Corpses group stood out and I felt like pointing this out.
Thanks guys.
Chris
