Unless someone gave you free tickets or you happened to be in the neighborhood on psychedelic mushrooms THIS ONE SUCKS! We went and it was the biggest waste of time! the haunts were short, cramped and dull. PERIOD.

I give it a whopping 1 out of 10 dull, small, uninteresting stars.

I've been a critic of battle of the haunted house but come on, 1/10? Critics of me will jump on this because it may look like back peddling but you're talking about an attraction in a different market. First, you're talking about comparing a yard haunt to Battle of the Haunts; same as comparing Battle of the Haunts to Erebus in Detroit and comparing that to a major Hollywood production.

You can have your opinion, I'm just not sure if I'll give it much credibility. I've BEEN to the Battle of the Haunted Houses and it's too far for me to go this year (and probably in the future) but it is MUCH better than some of the ones I've seen here even...

I heard a rumor that Battle of the Haunts wasn't really a battle this year like it was last year -- it was just one of the two designers (the guy who owns the domain name) who decided to build a second haunt at the same location, keep calling it Battle of the Haunts, and pocket all the cash. Anybody know more?

I don't give much stock to those that just say lame with no follow up anyways. Besides that's how they were last year, they need to be on mushrooms, they would probably feel better about any haunt.

You know, im getting really aggravated with not being able to have a negative opinion on october lounge about a haunt that really was not worth the money. The only reason for us posting is to tell others that it really wasn't worth the drive, waiting in line, and the money. We post so that u all dont go off and waste your time as well. It's a review, thats why we do it. Welchwitch, the mushrooms thing was a joke. We have some humor... yay!! ... If you want to know exactly why it was so "lame" well i will gladly tell you. A simple reply with, "tiffanyandlex why do you say this haunt is lame?" I would have respectfully told you. We arrived at this haunt about an hour after it opened, and it was EXTREMELY crowded! It cost about $35 for both haunts. They were both in door haunts, and we waited in line for about 35 minutes. It was very hot. The entire place was not air conditioned at all. We go into the haunts and it was honestly about 3 minutes long each, if that. The props were childish, and the actors kept trying to scare us by saying, "BOO." Not very impressive. It was Incredibly cramped, and they let WAY too many people in at once. It was not scary, its more a haunt for children; which is fine if you have kids. Welch, they are not doing battle of the haunts again this year, which is why we reviewed for last year... why not? whats the harm? ..So there you go.
Big perm- I respect your opinion and thank you for being mature and backing up your reply with legitimate reasons. I understand that a 1/10 might be a little unfair. But at the same time, we are expecting haunts like field of corpses, that are worth the money, incredibly creative, tactful, and scary. We aren't asking for credibility... but respect, is always nice; especially with anyone who comes on here with an opinion.

Wow, my mushroom comment was a joke also. Your thoughts are just as important as anyone else's. But it is always nicer to know more then it just is lame. It allows us to understand if your just bitching or have a true item that we need to know about. Thank you for letting us know that difference.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. We took our entire family along with others and had a great experience. The set design was outstanding. They had a whole pirate ship on one of the sets. The actors were all very good and scary. Overall we all rated this at least a 9 maybe even 10. Both haunts were extremely well done. The dark side didn't have much in the way of decor but it was dark and it was very scary.

Maybe you aren't talking about the same haunted house. The place was packed and everyone we talked with really enjoyed the shows. Two thumbs up.
