Just wanted to start a thread on this AWESOME and perhaps overlooked haunt (?) don't know about that, just know I havent seen any other mentions....
My pals, who also happen to be fellow critics, took me to this haunted house that is in the Boulder High School....
OMG!!!! What these kids did!!! After seeing the professional haunts I had a better idea what to expect from a haunted attraction. Have to say, these talented and resourceful young adults have got it nailed!!! I can't get over what they did with what I'm sure was a very tight budget.
You go in through the front of the highschool and get in line.....Woah! Nostolgia! "I havent smelled 'school' in a long time!" I remarked to my friends... not even related to the attraction..but still set off an interesting vibe for me...
You go in and down... down into a service corridor...the sounds, my god the sounds! I forgot I was in a school... the young people performing were committed and stayed in character like pros! They had fantasic make up and costumes... the sets and props were ficken AWESOME!!!! Perfect use of space, light and dark, mist and fog... I was really scared at a number of points... by the actors, or the set, or the creepy sound that pervaded the entire haunt. I think they had a huge advantage in sheer numbers, there were SOoooo many actors/actresses... this really added to the believability of the theme.
If you are going to be in the area...YOU MUST CHECK THIS ONE OUT!!!!

Almost frorgot...the price cant be beat...$6... that's right... and you dont mind the wait in line either...
