Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd give a shout out to Boulder Highschool's Haunted House. The theater group puts this together and I think they do a great job. We took a trip out there Saturday night and I'm sorry I didn't post sooner, but if you're looking for something to do tonight in Boulder you should check them out. Entry is $6 and they open at 6pm. I'd recommend getting their early as we waited in line even though we arrived at 6:15. Apparently on opening night the wait was at least 1 hour. In quick summary I would say that this is a really good haunt and particularly good for the fee, it is however a bit short.

Now on to a real review.

"Infected" is the theme of this year's haunt at Boulder High School and if I dare compare it to other zombie themed Haunts, it totally delivers. While on the short side you'll still get a lot of bang for your buck, because these student set designers know exactly what they're doing.

The haunt starts in an excellent space that will definitely build the creep factor for you. With eerie lighting, lots of excellent actors, surprises, cool props and some clever uses of space I really enjoyed this haunt. I think the set designers are really resourceful and while they don't have some of the costly props, like electric chairs, they do a great job creating an authentic space with what they have.

Some highlights would be the Zombie Theater, the tunnel and I loved the Safe House at the end. Music and sound design permeated the air and were really effective for me as well. Overall I would totally recommend checking these guys out, the price is right, its the only haunt in Boulder and they do a killer job even up against the pro haunts.

Have a Happy Halloween!
