Sad, But Confused

I really wanted to go to this haunt this year. I had never made the trip and always really wanted to go. I personally thought that financially this haunt was really well off. i thought it was popular and would be back this year and now... its not. so does anybody have any ideas as to why it closed? I dont want to start fights but im just very confused.

Not sure why they are not opening this year. They seem to do well every season. I don't know why, but they will be missed this season.

Personally, I think, if they continued to go in the direction that they were then you aren't missing out on too much other than the claim that you saw it. Could you go back a few years you would've gotten a better show (by better I mean higher attention to detail and quality).

That said, I always did have a soft(er) spot for them because of their whole "inbred, North Texas, we're crazy but we might know it" atmosphere that they got which reminded me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre back before the Chiller channel ruined it. And, by the way Murray's fans, I mean that as a compliment: they were able to pull off that "creep factor" better than most places that I've been to. I felt dirty just walking in.

Agreed Perm!! A few years back it was awesome...they changed up theme every year, some better, some worse. I will miss terribly the actor who was always at the door. The hillbilly version of Martin Lawrence. He was the primary reason I went!! I could have stayed there at the door and hung out with him and felt I had gotten more than my money's worth!! I would love to see him turn up somewhere else this year!

I think they are still doing the corn maze this year, I always go to that. They have a haunted gauntlet side to the maze that's pretty cool. I wonder if that will be business as usual this year. Anyone know??
