Search around the site, I believe that The Asylum had posted openings for actors but that may have been on the old boards.

Scream Park has also posted. Just keep an eye out and I am sure more will also post. Just pick a place and contact them. I am the one to contact for Scream Park and each other house will have their own contacts. Read the posts under casting calls and you will see. Have fun http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

The 13th Door and DOminion also need actors, but we arent hiring. Id suggest working there, not that the other houses are bad, but i love taking new people under my wing and teaching them the basics of fear. But im sure anyone ELSE on the site is pretty good at that too, so i'll step down from my pedestle, and say that you should check them all out when they are accepting applications.
By the way, the official name is NOT Dominion, but i dont remember what it is for the freaking life of me....updates when my mind works.

Frightmare is hiring, the meeting for those hoping to become actors is September 12th, at 6:30 pm (I'm not exactly sure if that is the correct time). Be advised, they like their actors to be available almost every night of October.

Correct me if I am wrong, I dont believe houses pay their actors out right. They may compensate in other ways. I am not speaking for all houses, but I know I would like my actors to commit for the month. It makes it easier for placement, if I can count on someone. I dont think any owners are going to want someone for just one night.More time you spend the better the groove you can get into. The main thing Chris is all the houses are looking , all of them are great, you pick from what you like and then commit. It will be a blast for you. Not always is experience needed, just the desire to have fun and scare the crap of out people by every mean known EXCEPT saying BOO...lol

If you're set on doing it, and can commit to the month, meaning almost every night, then don't just wait around. Go and see them.
Go to the site you want to work at and hit someone up for dates and times to apply, and if you're willing to help out in construction offer to help there as well.
I've done that in the past, when I wasn't working nights or obscenely early mornings and could commit to the time. It can be a lot of fun.

Most haunts around the area pay their actors an hourly wage at or above minimum wage.

Hmmm, thats ok, no biggie. My haunts pays their actors in other ways which they enjoy and is asked for each year. Guess I am the odd man out. I will reward my actors and take care of them. So if your looking for a paycheck, I am not for you. If your looking fun, excitement and working at one of the best houses and being rewarded in many other ways my house is for you. I do ask for a commitment for the month though. To my understanding, I might not be the only one, but no biggie all is fun in love and horror!

I believe that Field of Corpses uses a reward program, where different school groups (band, theater, whatever) get money towards their group as payment. I wish I had had a fundraiser like that when I was in High School!
I suppose offering rewards instead of a paycheck probably cuts down on accounting/legal/workers' comp issues a WHOLE lot!
Hmmm...thinking back to last years' ratings, Field of Corpses and Scream Park both did really well...of course, so did Frightmare and they pay, so there goes that theory out the window! I'm sure it all comes down to hiring the most enthusiastic workers who want to be there...regardless if they get cash or prizes!!

Exactly, Doesnt make one better or worse. Just depends on the actor and what they want and with who they want it with. It's all good.
