In another thread, Harvest Moon came up as a sign of fall. In my opinion one of the best I've tasted, anyone else try any others they'd like to recommend or let everyone know to avoid?
I believe I've had one brewed by Shipyard Brewing, Pumpkinhead I believe it was called, it was allright, no Harvest Moon though.
Anyone? anyone?

I've had that Pumpkinhead too and it was good - I'd say the closest substitute, I also had one last year (when they were out of Harvest Moon), it was called Lake Front I think but I wasn't a huge fan, it was a little too spiced for my liking, almost like it should be served hot. So, clear winner is Harvest Moon for me.

LOL, they had some SA Octoberfest on tap at Elitches last weekend. The funny part about it was that it was the same price as MGD and some other crappy piss beer. My friend and I were commenting on the stupidity of all the people not ordering the Octoberfest.

No doubt. It makes me sad that so many Americans have no real taste in beer.
For more proof here is something that our friendly neighbors up north pointed out for us:

(I'd link to it here but I can't get it to work from this site and I can't get to image hosting sites from work).

I believe the Monty Python troupe was correct when they likened American Beer to having sex in a canoe....because it is fornicating* close to water.

You never know, backwoods hillbillies make good moonshine. Yeah, you might grow a 3rd nipple, but your drunk when you are doing it and may not feel it much. Just look at "Mad Dog" and "Boone Farms" that was cheap and kicked my butt during high school. Maybe his beer would be something like that to corrupt the next set of drinkers who can't afford the finer things in life! My first "pretend" buzz came off red white and blue beer! Can't be any worse then that.

Redrum beer is my favorite. I hear they brew it out of some very interesting ingredients. Even zombies love their beer!

Oh god, mad dog 20/20. I can still remember how terrible my stomach felt the day after a night with it..I must admit though, the first 3 or 4 sips are pretty tasty.

Point taken and driven painfully home.
Kid's if you've never had it just make some kool-aid, store it in your closet for 24 days, add more sugar and you've got it. Holy hell that stuff is horrible.
