Updated Haunt Websites?

So i have basically been checking every haunt website every day at least twice and i cant wait for their new websites. Especially for the legend section for the thirteenth floor. I cant wait to see what the theme/legend is for the haunt. So I thought Id start a forum to see if anybody had anything to say aboot 2008 websites?

The thirteenth floor is believed to be the floor of all things cursed and thus avoided. This dates back to biblical times and was due to the misfortune of Judas Iscariat, the 13th disciple. Digging around farther will lead you to the history of runes from first century Northern Europe and the magic and mystery behind them. For them, it represents the balance point between dark and light. (a limbo of sorts??? Good vs evil??)
There is also the Aztec calendar which has it&#39;s own ties to the number 13.
Do some digging and studying and have fun with it, there&#39;s lot&#39;s of mystery there and many unanswered questions that we could have fun trying to answer!!

Ahhh, well then the 13th Floor...is it THE haunt everyone talks about every year, the one that your cousins, sisters, friends brother went to?? Hmm. Has it&#39;s true location finally been revealed for all to explore, or is it a new haunt based on the urban legend? I&#39;m guessing that we will have to visit it to find out the truth once and for all. I for one KNOW I will make it through with a big grin on my face. I&#39;m just really hoping to be so scared that I become paralyzed with fear!! (Rubbing hands together in anticipation)

Sorry Hellraiser...thought you were looking for the real motive to the fear of the number 13 and then the progressive birth of the fear of the 13th floor in buildings.

so any guesses on when the new haunts will be on Haunted denver?. Information sources of mine have told me to expect 28 professional haunts this year in colorado! On the subject, any guesses as to who will be good this year? any expectations? Visits to ones youve never been to? and guesses as to who will be a featured 2008 haunt?

28 haunts huh? Not in the Denver area that&#39;s for sure! (I wish)
I always have lot&#39;s of expectations for all of the haunts, so it&#39;s always a big source of anticipation! You just never know what you&#39;re going to get each year, so I&#39;m not going to speculate. I have personal plans to visit some haunts out of town on my own time. I&#39;ll let you know how that goes!

Oh on a side note. On our way home from estes, We happened to stop by Boondocks to look at how construction was going and mostly to use the restroom. I saw chris and a bunch of guys going in and out with supplies. The only thing i couldnt figure out was Where was the thirteenth floor? I didnt see any form of progress on it? Just thought it would be intreresting to share

Here&#39;s a little more info, The 13th Floor Haunted House is not at Boondocks, it&#39;s located in central Denver, the exact location will be revealed soon.

Is it underground? above ground? Hmmmmm, guess you&#39;ll have to come see.

Well.

My initial reaction is shock and dismay - I love(d) all three of those Haunts.

After thinking about it, I suppose it might be alright if they divide the Realm of Terror space between 13th St Manor and Primitive Fear. This could make it longer and more fun...plus it will mean a redesign of the floor space.

Hopefully it&#39;ll turn out well.


I noticed that Starland has moved their trailer so it can advertise 13th Door and Curse of Slaughterhouse Gulch.

Great question, we are doing a couple of things right now that we are waiting on to add to the site. We have a very neat couple that will be doing some wedding pictures at the haunted house this Saturday. With that, we will be getting some great photos and such to update the site with. Of course, we have been slammed getting ready for the big show and we do our own site detail and development, so that takes some time and coordination. It is coming my man, I promise. I am excited as well. In fact, I am completely pumped up about the logo this year. I NEED A T-SHIRT http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

The add for the newspaper should be in sometime this week I am sure. I have not checked, but I am sure the newspaper has the map of haunts already in it as well.

I like you, used to get so excited to see new websites for haunts and the first add in the entertainment section in the newspaper. My favorite was the color adds on Friday and Saturday. Something about that frighmare scarecrow in color always got my anticipation for all haunted houses flowing.

Thank you my friend. and I know exactly the feeling your describing, before I realized the internet existed i i used to spend hours looking at haunt ends trying to find out which ones I should go to. To this day I still look at adds for a reminiscing feeling that I have come to love!

Entirely speculation on my part but I&#39;m assuming that it&#39;s due to their their record on here. It&#39;s been less than ideal and they just don&#39;t want to be a part of that because improving your product and giving a better show to the critics i.e.: the people is much, much more difficult than opting to not be reviewed.

However, this is a good opening for everyone else that wanted to be a critic with the new user reviews. I don&#39;t think I&#39;ll be able to get out there because, short of Ft. Collins, they are the furthest away from me and I&#39;d really like to see what they&#39;re up to, particulalry their new one.
