In all seriousness I'd love to hang around all year but OL just simply slips from my radar. Usually the posts trickle down to 3 or 4 people having conversations via posts and I simply lose interest.
With that in mind I think we need to expand the boards (during the off-season) to give people something to talk about so I there's more substance in the posts.
I'm not talking heavyweight philosophical and political entries but something other than what we have going on now:
1. Reader Haunt Discussion
2. Other Haunted Happenings
3. Horror Films
4. Halloween Hangout
5. Pre-season
6. Post Season
I like this stuff but it is limited. And the "Post Season Playground" is entirely new and a step forward.
I'm not sure on the topics and I don't want to deviate from what October Lounge is supposed to be (like all the other forums that are running millions of topics of useless crap) but that may give me something to keep an eye on December-August.
Any thoughts on topics or if this is even worth doing?

It's completely worth doing! I'd love to see a "Vampirism" topic since that is my favorite thing. What about "Strange Phenomenon"? Like Spontaneous Human Combustion? I'm trying to burst into flames but haven't figured out how to do it yet..
