As an ardent Halloween lover, I always find this time of year sad. The clinical name for it is Obsessive Post-Halloween Aggressive/Depressive Compulsion Disorder, though it is better known as the Holiday Doldrums.
Several years ago Tim Burton showed us that we could have Halloween on Christmas. The Nightmare Before Christmas, while maybe not to everyone's taste, was a great way of tainting, if you will, Christmas with that special ghoulish charm that we so love about Halloween. I still hate seeing all the Christmas decorations going up right after Halloween (or worse, before), but if they were transformed a bit to be Jack Skellington and company, I suddenly don't mind Christmas so much.
So, this topic of discussion is aimed to see what you, my fellow fiends, do for the other Holidays (and yes, they are the Lesser Holidays).

I continue living Halloween everyday...today for instance, I did this lovely tendon exposed wound, and slashed throat for a friend...he needs to look good for the holidays. :P He had the prosthetic piece but it's kinds lame...mine's better IMHO.
For Thanksgiving, I eat...a lot. Christmas I do my best to skip completely. I am a scrooge. New Years I leave to the drunks...let them go find the police.

And now, the truly scariest time of year for me......Christmas!!! As I type, the tree is being put up...lights will be next, followed by lovely, glittery ornaments that sparkle and shine in the twinkling lights. ICK!!
All is well though, I still have my Halloween decorations up. They never get put away anymore, they are permanent fixtures in my house. I may just survive the season. I only have 18 days that I have to endure the tree, then it's gone again for another year!!!! :P

That sounds very familiar. Mercedes made me buy a Christmas tree and I had to put up some lights this weekend. I then had to drag my parent's fake trees and decorations from their garage's attic.
All the while, my toe pincher coffin is sitting in my living room right behind the couch where it's very noticeable. I have a couple lenticular pictures of evil transforming things hanging on the wall (my favorites come from here: http://www.hauntedmemories.com). Finally, my bucky is sitting on one of my kitchen chairs. I have no intention of moving any of this anywhere any less noticeable.

Good for you!! Keep the spirit alive!! I just hired a glassblower to make me a 12" smoke colored skeleton that will be a marrionette. She's also making me this very cool goblet that has an alien monster baby in it!! I can't wait to get them, she's amazing!!

Oh you bet I will!! She will be starting them in January and they will take about 6 weeks to complete. I'm so excited I can barely stand myself!
