[Haunted Denver]

Here's the latest in news for Denver Haunted Houses for 2009.

Terror in the Corn will not be opening this year but will return next year.

Elitches will be introducing 3 new haunted houses, Brutal Planet and Screams are gone.

Forget the name right now, but there will be a new haunted trail in Elizabeth.

A new haunt City of the Dead will open at the flea market.

A new haunt Blood Shed Haunted House will open.

3 haunts at Elitche's, huh? hmmmmm, I'm wondering if the seance will be back this year. That would be great if it was.

And new haunts is a major plus!!! I can't wait to see them!

as it stands @ the moment.....
the Water Park house will be "Blood Lust" , Denver's hottest new night club were all the wannabe twilight kids hang, and you just scored VIP tickets, twist is you find out its a trap run by real vampires.

The house in the Trocadero Theater is "The Suffering", a Bloody Marry(ish) ritual gone wrong sends you to the other side of the mirror and in to a realm of Nightmare Creatures and Tortured Souls

any one know who is doing the fle market?

My understanding is that the production crew from Screampark will be doing the new haunt at the flea market.

Being a big part of Terror in the Corn, I am sad that I will not be taking part in haunting this year. On the other hand I am super excited that I will have more time to check out all the other great haunts in town. I can be a strong critic when it comes to being haunted, so do your worst. You can't scare a professional scare actor. Good luck to all you haunters this year.

Having being a near fanatical haunt/horror enthusiast since I was a kid, it is VERY hard to scare me. Having said that, I get nearly giddy when an actor REALLY scares me. I'm hoping that someone, someday, will scare me so bad that I may actually have to take off running!! This is my goal in life!! :D

Sounds like Elitche's will be doing 2 haunts not three. Plans for the third fell through from the sound of it. It's posted on another thread here.

I totally agre. Thats one of three of my biggest pet peeves about haunts. HATE NEON ANYTHING!!!! its not scary its just lame....

Neon can be acceptable depending on the context. For example, clowns and circus stuff may be alright with a certain level of neon.

For the most part though I agree, Neon does not = scary.
