What Happened in Screampark?

Im new and I know something happened at Screampark which caused it to shut down or something... So does anybody know what happened?

The City of Brighton apparantly was not allowing anyone who owns land that is zoned as agricultural to do anything other than farm on it. That meant that haunts could no longer operate. They did the same thing to Murray Maze. Personally, I think it stinks.

no im not old enough.. im 14 on october 19...so I wanna be a junior critic :) but my friend is working at frightmare this year.

Unfortunately, the team would be unable to provide transportation for reviews.
But yes, there are areas here and on HD that you can post reviews of the haunts you see this season.

Thats what I have my parents for!! I drive all the time.. I go to blockbuster, king soopers, anything less than 2 miles but im afraid if I drive longer than that I will get busted.... but 2 YEARS!!!!! I already have my car picked out

So Baitman, I'm a little confused here. You say that the Screampark crew is now running City of the Dead.

I was told you no longer want to be affiliated with Screampark.

Did the entire Screampark crew, including the owners, move to City of the Dead? I heard a rumor that the owners may be doing their own new haunt this year (unconfirmed). So unless the entire crew from Screampark, owners, staff, monsters, etc. are now working at City of the Dead, I'm not sure your statement is accurate, but I'm still not sure that you wanted it to be anyway.

My point, be the City of the Dead crew, let the Screampark affiliation go. If in fact the Screampark owners do their own haunt this year, this would definitely be a reason that your statement is not accurate.

People will be interested to see what the City of the Dead crew puts together, stand on your own. I'm not sure, but I think the Screampark owners would appreciate that as well.

Hello everyone!

Hauned Concepts is the crew and company producing the City of the Dead Haunted House. We are not affiliated with Screampark nor its owners. We worked with Screampark in years past helping them create their show, but when their haunt was closed (sadly), Haunted Concepts's services were no longer needed there.

We have since moved on to start our own venture, a new haunt called City of the Dead. City of the Dead is owned and operated by Haunted Concepts. Our talented crew comes from all over the map, including Sreampark, Murray's Massacre, Elitch's Screams, Tom Savini's Terrormania, and Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream.

I know its confusing with the same haunt name as last year and with some of the crew coming with us from Screampark (including Baitman who innocently typed the wrong statement), however, we can assure you this is a BRAND NEW haunt built by a BRAND NEW crew that is sure to surprise you! The haunt was built from scratch, brand new, with all new animatronics, props, costumes, facades, rooms, characters, and the like. Over 14,700 square feet of pure horror, gore, and entertainment, we hope you will all enjoy it!

Thanks for the explanation. But you go on to further state all the different haunted houses that your crew has worked for. My point was, be you, which I think is what you're trying to do. The more you throw around past haunt names, the more people will have a preconceived notion of what to expect.

You're trying to promote your haunt, and I think it's great, but tell us what to expect, don't tell us who you've worked for.

In addition, from your website - "Denver's biggest and most intense haunted house has arrived, you have to see it to believe it" A pretty bold statement for a first year haunt, wich is ok, but beyond that, can you back up your claim? Do you know you're the biggest? How do you know that? Do you know you're the most intense? How? You haven't opened yet, neither has anyone else.

I understand, it's puffery right? We're all guilty of it a little bit, I get it. I would just like to see people underpromise and overdeliver.

I heard good things about your work at the last place you worked at, and hopefully we'll see good things from you at your first haunt. Hope I get a chance to come see it, we'll see.

PS - In case you're all wondering how I am having time to sit and post here this time of year, it's because the haunts are all done and ready to go!
