I was going to post about this haunt last weekend, but I had to wait for my account to be activated. I have been a poster here for a number of years, however I was in the process of moving last year and did not post, subsequently resulting in my account being purged.

I went to crypts garden on Saturday September 26. I thought this was a new haunt this year, but after speaking with the owner and builder of the haunt I was told that this was actually their second year. The year before it was done as a fund-raiser and this is the first year as a pro haunt. The builder is a really nice guy and it was great talking to him.

This haunt is defiantly one of the more creative haunts I have been to. They have very effectively utilized the space they are in. The attention to detail was superb. But perhaps the most impressive aspect of this haunt is the use of sound. There was no generic audio playing throughout this haunt. Each sound had a purpose, whether it was to set the mood of a particular scene or to provide some very effective miss direction. Sound to me is a very important part of the overall illusion of a haunted attraction. This is the first haunt in about 5 or 6 years to really impress me with the audio.

Towards the end of this haunt is one of the best rooms I have ever seen. I don't want to spoil the room so I wont say much about it, but if you are as big of a horror movie fan as I am you will love this last room. It is the first time I have seen a horror movie themed room in a haunted attraction this accurate.

This is defiantly one of the haunts to go visit this year.
