I would call this a "Haunter's haunt," It was fun and entertaining.
The scope of City of the Dead is intimidating. Staring at the "second stories" revealed some of the flaws and inattention to detail but was a huge undertaking and very impressive.
Set design was great and what I look for in an attraction. I like the abandoned and "shit strewn" look of a post-apocalyptic urban zone. It looked a bit of a tinderbox if someone flicked a cigarette but it really did add to the whole feel of the place and set the tone flawlessly.
Acting was mediocre, it really set this place back from rating higher. Some of the monsters were exceptional (Court room) and others were abysmal (the homeless guy on the couch without makeup and on his phone).
I thought the one thing it wasn't was scary which is why I direct it more towards the haunting community that isn't scared easily but wants to see a nicely done attraction.
I've been recommending it though and thought it was very well executed.
