That is awesome that you work there. How do you think it is this year? My friends and i love Field of Corpses and are hoping to return to it this year but we are all curious how it is this season.

Well the reviews aren't up yet, but we were out and about this weekend working hard to get them up! Field of Corpses was really impressive. The detail was amazing in the sets and it was one of the best "staffed" haunts with lots of great actors! I recommend going out to visit this haunt. You can read more soon when the reviews are posted http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
And FreakyActor, redskittle is right. I could make a more poingant statement about your skills if I knew which set you were in. The miner hillbilly guys were really good and so were the graveyard gouhls. http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
Definitely a fun weekend of haunting!

I agree with Mood - this haunt gets the bloody thumbs up! Some of our reviews will be posted this week, so that will get you a better idea, but wow - I was impressed with the amount of actors and the energy they had. If any of the actors are reading this - great job! I have already reccommended this one to some of my friends (who won't stop pestering me about which ones to go too - it's like holding out scraps to yard dogs). http://www.octoberlounge.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Do I need to show up 2 hours before I walk through in order to actually see it this year or is it okay if I come around 8, like I can at any other haunt; last time I showed up around 8 I waited in line for an hour and then told it was closed.
By the way, do HD critics still get VIP? Nothing wrong with that but it helps to put it into perspective when you are among the people waiting for 3 hours to get in.

HD gets VIP everywhere. Sorry, but without that, you wouldn't get reviews until after Halloween. We waited about 10 minutes to get in, and judging from the amount of people in line, I would have estimated the line at about 25 minutes. They space groups out far apart, so I imagine it sells out early still. Personally, if I were going as a regular customer, I'd rather wait in line longer and not run into the group in front of me.
I remember the issue of waiting last year and then not getting in. Hopefully they've fixed that. No way to know for sure until the season gets a little busier.

No, I'm on your side on that one Rob, you need to get VIP in order to possibly be able to review the majority if not all haunts. I'm also a fan of spacing out a group, I don't like catching up to the group in front of me before the actors and props can reset nor do I like someone behind me pushing me along; it's a good thing to space them out but FoC has a reputation by now of doing so excessively. I hope they've fixed it, probably not but hopefully, or at least invested in a 2-way so the lot attendants can communicate with the ticket booth and management when they have "sold out."
Like I said though, if it's possible, try to put yourself in the consumers shoes and weigh the pros and cons of how long you estimate you could've waited to see if it was worth it. Coming from first hand experience, an attraction is much better when you get to wait only 10 minutes as opposed to 2 hours in general.
